Irene Javors, M.ED. is a licensed mental health counselor with degrees in counseling, philosophy, and history. She is a retired Associate Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mental Health Counseling, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University.
She is the co-author with Professor David Beisel of Forging New Paths: Essays on History, Culture, & Psyche (2024) and Genres of The Imagination (2021). She has written essays on poetry, opera, film, and jazz. She is an explorer of cultural dreamscapes and their embeddedness within our individual and collective psyches. She is a longtime resident of Jackson Heights.
